December 20, 2024 − U.S. News & World Report has named Salinas Valley Health a 2025 Best Hospital for Maternity Care, a prestigious recognition that highlights excellence in delivering high-quality care for expectant mothers and their families.
U.S. News evaluates hospitals nationwide based on objective quality measures, including cesarean delivery rates, early elective delivery rates, routine vaginal birth after cesarean delivery (VBAC) rates, commitment to equity and the availability of advanced maternal and newborn care. The recognition places Salinas Valley Health among an elite group of healthcare providers committed to maternal health excellence.

Maternity Care at Salinas Valley Health includes private rooms, childbirth classes, pre-delivery tours, breastfeeding and lactation consultants, perinatal and postpartum depression screening and services, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Perinatal Diagnostic Center, both operated in partnership with Stanford Medicine Children’s Health.
