An exceptional team of committed individuals is the driving force in fulfilling our mission to provide quality healthcare to our patients and to improve the health and well-being of our community. Their dedication stands out – from our physicians, nurses, clinical and non-clinical staff to our volunteers who support our healthcare system in numerous diverse ways.
Salinas Valley Health is fortunate to enjoy an outstanding internal culture where our staff share appreciation regularly for the valuable help of our volunteers. Many of those who give their time to serve their community through our healthcare system have been here for years, even decades. They feel connected to our organization and our staff and they are an integral part of our family.
We treasure the extra dimension of patient care they make possible, the projects they lead, and the way they step up to meet unexpected needs. It makes me proud that our staff take it upon themselves to recognize our volunteers’ work frequently.
The Central Coast has a long history of philanthropy and civic engagement. It made our opening possible seventy years ago and continues to help us grow today as a trusted resource for our community.
Research demonstrates a strong and consistent link between gratitude and greater happiness. I am most grateful for our volunteers who share contagious enthusiasm for their work. That they choose to give their time here shows our patients and their families how invested Salinas Valley Health is in our community. I am also grateful to our staff who display generous appreciation for what this unique group of people adds to our overall team.
