Salinas Valley Health Earns ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade

November 16, 2022 – For the seventh consecutive report card, Salinas Valley Health earned another 'A' Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group. Leapfrog released the Fall 2022 letter grade results today based on a clinical, evidence-based review of patient safety metrics.
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization which rates how well hospitals prevent medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients in their care.

Our consistency in maintaining the highest marks for patient safety is a testament to our commitment”
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization with a 10-year history of assigning letter grades to general hospitals throughout the United States. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public. Hospital Safety Grade results are based on more than 30 national performance measures and are updated each fall and spring.
