Dr. Albert earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He then completed a fellowship in adult cardiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

From 2006 to 2015, Dr. Albert practiced in the Salinas Valley, serving as president and partner of Central Coast Cardiology, where he helped run the 40-person specialist group. In 2008, he also took on the role of Medical Director for the Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center at Salinas Valley Health. In 2015, Dr. Albert initiated and oversaw the sale of Central Coast Cardiology to Salinas Valley Health.

Broadening his horizons beyond clinical practice, Dr. Albert next earned a master’s degree in Health Care Management at Harvard University’s School of Public Health. From 2019 to 2023, he served as CEO and Executive Medical Director of the Huntington Health Medical Foundation.

Dr. Albert then shifted his focus to emerging technologies in cardiology, becoming Chief Medical and Product Officer at Circle Cardiovascular Imaging, Inc., based in Calgary, Canada. In this role, he helped expand the use of imaging AI technologies at top hospitals and medical centers worldwide, developed innovative cardiac MRI products, and supported international research collaborations with institutions, including King’s College London, Charité in Berlin, and notable U.S. universities like Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, and Northwestern University in Chicago.

In 2024, Dr. Albert rejoined Salinas Valley Health as Chief Clinical Officer, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both domestic and international settings. He continues to make significant contributions to medical communities as a consulting professor at Duke University Medical Center and as a public speaker.
