About the provider
Caring for patients from infancy to young adulthood, Maryam Jalali, MD, FAAP, has years of experience as a pediatrician. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the highest level of membership of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is awarded to physicians who have passed their board exam and are committed to lifelong learning and advocating for children.
Dr. Jalali has been involved in multiple committees at Salinas Valley Health including service as Chair of the Pediatrics Committee. She is a licensed surgeon and certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
After earning her medical degree, Dr. Jalali completed fellowship research at the University of California, Irvine. Following with an internship and residency in pediatrics, she later began practicing in Salinas, California. As a longtime specialist in children’s health, she has provided preventive health maintenance for many thousands of children, medical care for children who are acutely or chronically ill, and coordination of care for children after discharge from a hospital or medical center. Dr. Jalai supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children in every stage of their development.
