About the provider

Mark Healy, MD, MSc, provides patients with the most advanced surgical treatments. Throughout the care experience, he ensures that patients and their loved ones have as much information as possible to assist them in making decisions. Specializing in removing or treating an array of cancers, Dr. Healy is board-certified in both surgery and complex general surgical oncology.

Dr. Healy offers patients the best and most current data-driven cancer treatments while setting clear and appropriate expectations of results. He provides highly skilled surgical care to remove or treat cancers of the stomach, liver, gallbladder, bile duct, pancreas, small intestine, spleen and colon and delivers expert surgical treatment for neuroendocrine tumors, peritoneal malignancies, melanoma, soft tissue sarcomas and retroperitoneal sarcomas.

Prior to moving to the Central Coast of California, he served at the highly acclaimed Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, Arizona and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Dr. Healy has held teaching positions ranging from direct work with medical students, residents and fellows, to mentorship and educational advisory committees. He has been involved extensively in cancer research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in medical journals.

An avid runner, Dr. Healy has participated in the Chicago Marathon several times. He also loves dogs, reading, cooking and spending as much free time as possible in the great outdoors.
