About the provider
Jaspreet Dhillon, MD was greatly influenced by the culture of her native India, where “living in service to others” is commonly embraced. Hailing from a family of doctors, she became the first female in her family to pursue medicine. In her family and broader community, there was a focus on home remedies, disease prevention and pursuing a calm, happy, spiritual existence.
All these things attracted her as a youngster and she started thinking about how she could integrate the concepts into her life. She considers herself blessed to have the privilege of helping others. Dr. Dhillon earned her medical degree in 1983 from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India and completed her residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, New York.
In addition to English, she speaks Hindi and Punjabi. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has lived in Salinas for nearly 20 years and has a son in college. In her leisure time, Dr. Dhillon enjoys meditation, yoga, running, hiking and reading as well as going to movies, plays and comedy clubs. With a warm up ascent of Mt. Whitney in 2016, she has her sights set on Machu Picchu as her next adventure.
