About the provider
Harlan Grogin, MD, FACC, joined Central Coast Cardiology and the medical staff of Salinas Valley Health in February 1995. He established Salinas Valley Health’s Electrophysiology Program soon after and is the program’s medical director.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Grogin is active in clinical research trials that give patients access to new therapies, devices and medications that may be more effective than traditional methods. He also trains other cardiologists on implantation procedures, including the specialized devices used for people with congestive heart failure.
Dr. Grogin received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Barnes Hospital, Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis. He was a cardiology fellow at Stanford University Medical Center and a fellow in electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Residing in Salinas with his wife and their two children, Dr. Grogin enjoys a variety of outdoor activities in his spare time.
