Erika B. Garcia, MD

About the provider

Erika Garcia, MD, is a bilingual family medicine and obstetrics physician with a decade of experience caring for women and their young families in rural communities. She is adept at contraceptive care as well as general practice medicine including comprehensive screenings, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of physical and mental health conditions. Dr. Garcia is highly skilled at local management of high-risk pregnancies. She also manages follow-up in response to abnormal cervical cancer screens (PAP tests).

A board-certified family physician with additional obstetric training, Dr. Garcia is dedicated to continuity of care. She has a strong interest in women’s health, pediatrics and health education. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Garcia is pursuing a Master of Public Health degree focused on reproductive justice and health policy.

Dr. Garcia has a long history of volunteer medical service for at-risk populations nationally and internationally. She has extensive experience guiding nurse practitioner students and nurse midwife students and has served as a panel speaker at national summits focused on rural health.
