Specializing in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries through medical imaging, Daniel Shin, MD, has more than two-decades of experience interpreting imaging results that guide treatment decisions.

Dr. Shin is certified by the American Board of Radiology and qualified in multiple imaging techniques. These include ultrasound, CT scans, MRIs, mammography, fluoroscopy and nuclear medicine. Dr. Shin is adept at performing image-guided biopsies, drainages, joint injections, and lumbar punctures. He is skilled at peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC lines), paracentesis and thoracentesis to extract fluids for analysis, and hysterosalpingogram procedures to view the uterus and fallopian tubes.

Following nearly six years of service in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Shin earned his medical degree in 1997 from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis in 1998 and his residency in radiology at the Irvine Medical Center at UC Irvine in 2002. Dr. Shin next undertook a fellowship in Body Imaging, which he completed at the University of Southern California Medical Center.
