Amber D. Grandison, MD

About the provider

As a family medicine practitioner with a strong background in obstetrics, Amber Grandsion, MD, provides a wide range of care for patients of every age and stage of life. She believes that preventative medicine is an important part of healthcare and emphasizes it by educating and guiding her patients to make healthy, maintainable lifestyle choices to fit their personal lives. Dr. Grandison also has a passion for maternity care, women’s health and equality in medicine. She welcomes opportunities to care for a diverse population and the LGBTQ community.

Dr. Grandison strives to pursue continuity with her patients. From preventative care and management of chronic conditions to prenatal care, and labor and delivery, she focuses on helping her patients live their healthiest lives.

After earning her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Grandison completed her residency through the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program where she served as Resident Patient Safety Chief. Learning that she loved obstetrics, she then completed a fellowship in surgical obstetrics at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, allowing her to maintain the continuity she loved – providing care from conception to delivery.

Dr. Grandison has delivered educational presentations on a variety of topics ranging from improvement of quality and safety in patient care to pregnancy issues such as treatment of hypertension, intraamniotic infections and asthma. She has also participated in research, including a “Count the Kicks” study focused on increasing maternal awareness.

When not working, Dr. Grandison enjoys adventuring the outdoors and hiking local trails with her partner and beagle. She also enjoys fantasy novels, riding her Peloton and creative writing.
