Since 1951 the VNA has been delivering Home Healthcare services for people living throughout Monterey and San Benito Counties as well as the southern portions of both Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties. Today, the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice continues its tradition as the premier provider of Home Healthcare and Hospice services. Over the years, the VNA has expanded its programs to meet the healthcare needs of the broader community. VNA provides specialty areas including Cardiac Management, Diabetic Management, Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Palliative Care and Wound Care.
VNA offers community immunization programs for flu and travel, a wellness program VNA Community Services is the Face of the VNA in our Community. They are the Community Immunizer providing Travel Immunizations and Consultation, Shingles Vaccine, Vaccines for College bound teens, Tdap for students entering 7th grade, TB skin tests, and Flu and Pneumonia Immunizations. And in partnership with Salinas Valley Health we have teamed up to bring you wellness [at] work. Our program is designed to reduce employee absenteeism, increase productivity and enhance the health and well-being of your workforce. The first and most crucial step is to gather baseline health data for individual employees and your business as a whole.
VNA provides palliative and supportive hospice care to all patients with advanced illness and their families regardless of age, gender, nationality, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, diagnosis, availability of a primary caregiver or ability to pay.
A highly qualified, specially trained team of VNA hospice professionals and volunteers work together to meet the physiological, psychological, social, spiritual and economic needs of patients and families facing advanced illness and bereavement.
VNA has a staff of more than 200 employees and, in addition, 5 physicians who serve as Medical Directors and/or Advisors. VNA is licensed by the California Department of Health Services, Medicare and Medi-Cal.
